It is now time for an upgradeand sfter having read through quite a bit of info on this forum I decided I would see if I could get hold of a Johnny Morris baitcaster. I phoned and visited a number of shops around Cape Town and couldn't find any. Nobody had even heard about them! Any other suggestions?

The only place that stocks Johnny Morris baitcasters are unfortunately Rod and Marine in PTA. Or you can import yourself one from the states

That abu of yours does cast like a dream zucas.

I am sure Chuck Norris only wears Johnny Morris underpants.

Thanks. I have continued my search today Johanvc you are correct absolutely no one in Cape Town stocks Johnny Morris. If Rod and Marine are the only ones that stock do you think that this may be an issue IF the reel requires attention? Cannot find anyone that stocks Quantum either. The only Abu Revo I saw was probably the base version judging by the price (R1 300), do you think I should try it?

I know that these reels are the bottom of the range but I really believe that they are excellent and you get quite a lot more that what you pay for. If you would like to try mine, just drop me a pm. Don't be put off by people who always say get the best, I'm a student and can't justify paying over 2K for a reel which in my OPINION is not that different for the price which you pay in.

The Revo S. I just bought my second one and I remain impressed. My other one was bought in 2007 and it's still amazingly smooth and powerful. I've stopped leeries, barbel and bass on the reel and never had to do a major service on her, the best is that it'll cast anythind from the bigger Aruku Shad by Spro to weightless junior flukes all on 10 or 12lb line. Really an amazing reel for what you pay.
