The Tight Lines Fishing Tackle Festival/Expo will be presented at the Tshwane Events Centre (previously Pretoria Show Grounds) for the fourth consecutive year. It will take place from Friday, 27 July till Sunday 29 July 2007.

The Expo hours will be as follows:

Friday & Saturday: 10:00 – 18:00

•
Sunday: 10:00-16:00
This site will be expanded shortly.

normally the last weekend in july.

its the same one i was telling u guys abt thats in the pta showgrounds , been to it for the past 5 years , lots of stuff on promotion and great prices at the shows.
lots of seminars , clinics aswell .

maybe we all can make a trip together this year. i normally go on a sat abt 10am or so.

I'm in for Sat the 28th but being the Hunter that I am, I'm sure I'll be the one standing in front of the gate when the sun's not up yet, with a warm cuppa waiting for them to open.....

I've still got your number and will give you a call as the dates creap closer, I'm defs going, perhaps I could see if I can't get us a program so that maybe we could attend some of the seminars if it appeals to us?

Will call the blokes at Tight lines and enquire?

we'll we can spend the 1st half of the day at the show and the 2nd half at strubens .

Oh and make sure the c/card has got funds , cos trust me the c/card can reaching boiling point in there .

C/cards not a prob...... it's the trailer to get the gear home that bothers me, and the eventual explanation to the "Boss", no wait I'm gonna take her with, maybe she can buy the gear, and I could get her interested and participating, if notheing else she'll be able to see what I buy and that would remove the explanation part, however I might still get a whole lotta Flack for spending so much....

Yeah, sorry to the guys in the Mother City, they can't have it all, I mean the other day I was asked which city has the most beautifullest girls in the RSA? And the answer was Cape Town, I replied, those are all the Ugly Gauteng chicks we don't want..... hehehehehe.  The guy wasn't impressed! SOOOOOO SAAAWWWRY.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN what a mission that was getting hold of the entrance fees, phoned tight lines, got reffered, phoned that person and so forth and so forth, but fainnly managed to get the info and it is as follows:

Adults : R30-00

Kids upto 14 yrs: R10-00

Pensioners : R10-00

and Parking R5-00

So there we go, I couldn't find out what kind of clinics and seminars there would be as they don't have all the exibitioners signed up yet, but I'll phone closer to the date to see if I can't get then.

same prices as last year , this mths issue of t/lines didnt have anything abt the festival.

Lets hope they post some info in the next issue , if they do i'll post it here.

the thing i like abt the festavil is that they cover every facet of fishing , even the guys from the ski boat clubs are there with their entire rigs meaning boats fully kitted out.
Theres boat stands aswell , camping stuff , trailers , a huge bass section , fresh water is the most dominate part  cos i guess its an inlad expo , but the salt water guys give bait presentations , they answers any questions , then theirs cast tutions in the field , last year i went for a throwing session for abt 15mins and thats what made me buy a mutliplying reel.


theres bargins and specials galore and theres camel rides for the kids , a casting competion ," where u try and hit a target in a little trough that they rig up inside the expo, all in all a great expo and worth the drive to pta for me.

I missed it last year, cause the "b" was having some sort of b in the bonnet if you know what i mean, still can't say what she was on about, but this year i'll get her a nice bottle of Diemersfontein Pinotage and well "Da issi Kap wee Hollans, my Broe" and I defs get there.....

Do they allow sleepovers in the Expo hall/s ?
