Hi Naas,

Thanx for some nice pics! Glad you touched on the toppic of cirles for tigers... its something I've been wanting to try out for quite some time now. Should be deadly when drifting, although not a lot of the Kavango-crowd seem to be too optimistic about it!? I'm going up during easter (Kavango) and I'll give some feedback, as I'm definitely going to experiment a bit.

Have you had any success with circles in the river yet?

I have not tried them yet, but according to Francois he had more than 80% hookup rate. The only thing you must remember with the pick up is that there must be no tension on the line.

Howdy guys! Circles work and when using flies tied on circles, remember to use a very low profile knot that cannot be bitten apart and also don't use a loop knot on the fly. Then upon any pickup with a circle hook, do not strike at all. As the fish speeds off with the fly, he will be "chewing" the strange thing in his mouth and in the process, the hook will find it's way past all the teeth, into the corner of the mouth, and hopefully stick.

Nam-fish I'm planning another trip this year up to your side of the world. Can't wait! I was going to do the delta but I had so much fun on the Kavango, I'm coming back.

Circles work extremely well on tiger - once you get them waxed will unlikely go back to J hooks.

Good luck !
