We take our own live bait with when going 2 Jozi drop me a PM and I will give you the details. Tigers will take a smaller Tiger that is why the swim in schools of +- the same size. I have not tried to swim a live tiger.

I have found livebait the best method to target tiger where i have fished (mainly in Zambia - Luangwa, Zambezi, Kariba plus Cabora Bassa) BUT they can be difficult to get hold of, and depending on current and rigging they can die quickly - this sometimes does not matter - depends upon how the fish are feeding..

Imberi are great, along with small nkupe/chessa/tigerfish - but not very tough - tilapia better in that regard - you can even rig a small squeaker for big tiger - break the spines off, hook behind the dorsal fin etc.

there are alot of red breasted talapia on the sides of the dam where there is alot of weeds, you fish inbetween the smaal holes.worms work the best and there are alot of them at the oment infront of the capsite by the reserve.i have just come up from the dam and was youseing live bait with a baloon got hit five times and landed a barbell, this is in verry muddy water,i find that in the muddy water the live bait works well,it sends out distress signals so the bait is found alot quicker.the red breasted talapia last along time on the hook if you dont cast it to much, tigers die verry quick.i have been haveing alot of activitie on  livebait.i always have 1 or 2 rods out with a live bait on.:fswim
