Hi All,

Just a reminder that there is less than a month away! Register before the 7th May and the first 100 entries will only pay R100!

Still can't believe those prizes. Comp sounds more like a money making venture. R10 000 for the tiger that beats the SA record. Come on! That is so unfair. They could at least make it realistic.

Top prize R1000? R120 entry fee x huge turnout. Come on! That's also not fair. This should be closer to say R5000.

Amatola bass classic, same amount of anglers, entry R500. First prize value R200 000. Now that's value.

Please guys, keep your nasty comments to yourself, as per the last post! This is the only event our club has on the calender due to river, bay and fresh water leagues! We aren't a big club as many of the others, but we do this cause we enjoy fishing socially, not for the prizes and glory!

Apologies there. The comment wasn't meant in bad taste. If the nature of the competition is more of a social one then with the goal of generating funds for the club then I suppose that's just the way it is then. Good luck with the biggest tiger

I would advise anyone that enjoys fishing to join this comp as it is well organised and well run event. As Royden said this is the only fundraiser that the club has and they use these funds to try keep the memdership fees down to encourage families to join and to try make angling a family sport. Good luck to the hook and reel boys hope the event has a huge turn out. and please post some photos of the day it would be nice to see some of the hook and reel freinds again
