Here is the Tiagra 30; also sonic cleaned, corrosion treated. Both the Avet and Tiagra was sonic cleaned, corrosion treated, each screw corrosion treated, the drags treated with Cals grease, the mating surfaces treated with marine anti corrosive dielectric grease as was the plate which covers the drag washers as this is where galvanic corrosion sets in when there is water intrusion. Both are class acts both Avet and the Tiagras have enviable reputations for landing monster fish on the waters of the world, they are both designed and built to have the pedigree to handle whatever takes your bait in the deep blue.

Friction plate cleaned, bearings packet with dielectric EP marine grease, spool face corrosion treated and sealed with grease for water intrusion. Just what the doctor ordered.

Right side plate assembled and corrosion treated.

Left side plate treated for corrosion and assembled with the bearing packed with low viscosity EP dielectric marine grease to prevent corrosion, and enable the bearing to turn with good freespool yet protect fully under heavy loads and stop friction and galling, grease isnt just grease.
