Throttle friction, Mercury controlls.

Hi there, I have a twin control box as the one in the pic. I would like to adjust the throttle friction but cannot see where the adjustment is. Can someone please help me out here. Sorry for the quality of the pic, it's the best one I could find on the net.

those boxes dont have a throttle friction setting.
If the throttle is to stiff there is a fault in the installation.

Hi SLM, it is not that they are stiff, I am used to the Yamaha controls and the thing I don't like about the Mercury controls is that they feel sluggish. They are not as direct as the Yamaha controls. I thought that maybe if I play around with the friction setting it would improve. Thx for your reply, I will just have to get used to them.

If not responding quick enough you have them change the setting in the inside of the motor where the cables connect to the engine itself
