this weekend fishing 1st september

hey so i figure that allot of ppl will be fishing this weekend,

looking a the weather, moon, temp, atmospheric pressure

i kinda feel that the fishing wont be that good?

not saying that ppl wont catch but it will be slow?

must say, we've done good in times like these at our spot.

Barend is putting in a session this weekend so i will let you guys know what happened on monday.

Moon aside, the weather has been pretty stable since sunday..

However, the pressure has been slowly dropping since tuesday as this front moves in tonight / tomorrow. Things may be tough but its spring so the fish are definitely up for a grub before spawn now..

Only time will tell so lets see what the weather holds.

hey guys. ive got a question for you related to the moon. what are your personal experiences fishing in a full moon? earlier this year i fished bass o mania on a full moon and the guy next tome on swim 6 also blanked but on swim 7 they had 6 fish. on swim 4 they had 1 fish. so now either it was the full moon or we were just not doing the right thing. i believe it was the latter as ive changed all my tactics there and ive been catching fish. im testing the whole theory this weekend again and im actually excited to see what theresults are going to be. would love tohearwhat you guys think?

IMO the moon has zero effect on freshwater fish or fishing.

It probably has an effect on us and all the "spooky" stories and "legends" we've heard of in our lives rather than on the activity of fish LOL. I've had good catches and bad on the full moon.

One of 8 fish all around 14 lb mark some a little smaller, and I got my first large mouth yellow, yea I clubbed them all to death and made fish cakes

hey guys. i ended up doing pretty good on the weekend until yesterday morning. i wanna share my story cause it might just help someone new to the sport or even someone not so new. i ended up using my canoe cause my bait boat packed up on friday night. i must mention that i have been paddling canoes since i was 13 and im now 32 and ive never flipped one over. i disregarded a very importanat rule of being on the water and that is using a life jacket. my second very big mistake was wearing my waders and a fleece top. the third mistake was fishing alone which is something i dont normally do. so i rowed ourt and basically i flipped my boat and the waders filled up with water and the fleece top took on water very quickly. im a strong swimmer and i bairly managed to stay above waeter and start moving to the side. by the time cliff from onew of the other swims managed to grb my arm i was already unconscious and turning blue. i was basically done for and just survived.
