This query is probably aimed at admin more than anyone else. 

Today is not the first time I have had difficulty with the search function.  For example, I want to know what the best tackle bag/tackle box is, especially for league angling.  So I type in the search criteria and get 150 results, may of which are irrelevant.

Or I search for a specific topic I remember, and get results dating back to 2007, with the topic I'm looking for on page 10 of the results.

Can we not add a "refine search" function, or perhaps a "sort results by..." function?  I am sure that my own ignorance contributes to the problem, but I still think  that we can improve on what we currently have.

i cant find any pics , this is the closet i could get.

oom janie is blue and has straps and u can carry it nice on your back... the best thing i've ever owned...

Thats a cool tackle box....

Back to the subject though...

I also find the search function frustrating as when doing a search one ends up with the oldest first and the newest way down in the queue. I agree an advanced search function will be most welcome.

this also is the reason that the are hundreads of repeated threads my personal favourite being   ''best rod and reel combo'' or Torium 30 or saltist.........LOL...

guys would then just give up and post a new topic to get there answer

On another much larger forum I comment on which runs on vBulletin the search function is pretty useless even with advanced functionality. I am of the mind that forum search functions in general leave a lot to be desired and can only be improved with software updates if available and even then who knows.

Try using Google rather, but refine your search to South Africa and change your keywords to perhaps "tackle bag sealine" or "tackle box sealine" and click around Google advanced search options to make it date specific, you will have far better results imho.

Well you know what I do now????, I use the google bar at the very bottom of the page....it searches within Sealine...and whalla....you get it all-and-more.

What I've also noticed is that my searches improve if I search from the 'Home page' versus searching something when I'm already in a certain topic...
