Hiya everybody!

Here is my latest creation - The Tigerfly!

Length 8 cm

Weighted head = sink ratio of 2 foot per second

Castable on 5/6 6/7 7/8 8/9 weights....

Hook = Extra sharp GRIP longshank hook

Dressing = White synthetic fibres ( body ) combined with white marabou,

Flashfoil head ( epoxied into place ) ,

 Thin solderingwire underneath head on shank for weight ,

Body flash = Mother of pearl strips, 

Black horizontal stripes = peacock herl ,

 Red feathers...African gray parrot by the name of "Casper"...

SERRRIIAAAASS!!!!!!

Minimum one foot,max 2 foot....the thickness and make of your end line,be it mono,steel trace or braid will affect this.

The fly is very slim,but you can cast it on a 5/6. You just have to dodge it if you cast straight over your head,so I do a "sidecast "( the same as I cast Engelbrecht Spinners on my 3/4 for trout when I am in "cheatmode"....

I am busy designing a few other more "natural looking " flies or rather "fry"...
