My father's previous boat in Mossel bay. Old style 28ft buttcat. The boat was used for commercial fishing, more specific hake as well as running charters during December. She is still running and active in Mossel bay but with other owners. This boat must have been one of the best boats we ever had. With 10 persons on board and a ton of hake with ice she could still do a decent speed back from the hake grounds, and she only had 2x90hp 2 stroke mariners on. Her motors probably has more than 2000 hours on them each without any problems. She was super light on fuel averaging around 2.6lt/nm with 2 strokes. Almost bought her back a year ago when we sold our previous 26ft butt cat. Only reason why my father sold this boat was because we wanted a smaller rig to tow between Mossel Bay and Cape Town for the tuna.

Someone from Kamassi should be nominated to be the official Kamassi representative on Sealine....and their job should be to post photos of the builds and amaze us. :)

I think the fans should just represent. Im hoping to get this page as big as possible, it has the potential. than we can get kamassi to sponsor the starboard section of sealine. Tiaan the reason why i think kamassi and many other companies dont have "active" members on forums, well it often backfires no matter how good the intention, seen it happen time and time gain. Think they just wanna concentrate on what they do well and thats building boats. Don't worry they do monitor forums, they know about your problems if your post them long before you phone them :)

Nice boats and nice pics!

As they say Thika, keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer! haha :SSS Thanks man, now at least we have a fair contest.

Now.. go along.. scurry back to your ace-craft castle.

and we have a mutual agreement.. no butt cat fan will say anything bad about ace-crafts on the ace-craft fan page, and no ace-craft fan will say anything bad about butt cats on the butt cat fan page. ::cop:

Stable 40 miles offshore, in the deep off cape point you dont fool around. You have to trust your boat to the maximum, and that's why most guys go butt cat!

here's an 840 butt cat. This is the more commonly referred to as a 28ft butt cat and a pioneering sportsfisher hull all around the country.

Here she is at home in Port Alfred
