R40-50k is about par for a boat from that era - late 80's /early 90's.

This particular boat is not a Ace Craft and think it may be a Trimcraft.

I have done a google image search but cant seem to find a trimcraft that matches this profile.

the only other boats I could find that look fairly similar is the ace craft and cape craft.

While going through the photos of the boat I noticed a logo on the steering wheel.

Perhaps you guys know this logo (And hopefully its for the boat and not the steering wheel)

I am going to take a guess here ,I think this hull is a 18ft Coast Craft . The reason I say that is the styling and those rainbow type colour Scheme.

Attached is a 16ft boat very similar looking - very popular hull in the 80's and 90's as well

Here is the interesting part , The Viking and the Coast craft were both built by a company called Glass Craft in Durban .

The Coast Craft were the later models.

I think this can very well be a Hybrid during the Switch over when they were changing the Tooling .

Robcraft hull - with AceCraft deck
Ocean runner - with Buttcat Cabin
Invader hull - With Kei Marine deck mould.

More interested in the Why ?

If it came that way out of the factory - OK
if it was a boat that was repaired after rolling in the Surf, or trailer that came loose ??

none the less looks like its been holding up since work was done a long time ago.

none the less looks like its been holding up since work was done a long time ago.

The current owner told me that the deck was redone about 6 years ago, it is possible that they made changes to the console then also as the sides seem to sweep back more than on the viking or coast craft. There is also no curve inward on the sides above deck as I see on the images you posted.

The current owner loves this boat, you can see it in the way he treated her. He is selling cause he bought a cat and cant run both. He especially misses the stability and tight corners he could do in comparison to the cat.
