Coastal Skipper On My Ticket ???????Why the wording "NIGHT RATED" on the boat?
Think it is more important to have that wording on your skippers ticket than on a boat

Congrats BFC!
Here is a pic of a paassnoek posing in a 660 DV during last week's fever :first
Hey Guys
I am looking at buying the attached Ace Craft.
I need a bit of info though, as I don't know ace craft all that well.
How is the handling of this boat?
Anything I should be looking out for before buying?
The Engines are: 2 x 90hp Mariners (they look to be 1990 something models)
Also could someone tell me the model of this boat.
I'll be doing a water test in the next few days.
Is 50k a good price for this boat?
Comes with compass, radio, life jackets, and anchor but needs the rest of the cat c safety equipment.
One of the running lights isn't working.

R40-50k is about par for a boat from that era - late 80's /early 90's.
This particular boat is not a Ace Craft and think it may be a Trimcraft.
Its just the steering wheel brandCloseup of the logo.
We ran to the tuna grounds off Cape Point on monday on a 660DV with twin 90 2stroke mariners. The end result was 212 litres used - 800 eachJust abit of ancient history.
In 1974 I ordered a 19ft Ace "kit" thinking I would just assemble it and go to sea.
It was more a crate of marine ply and meranti than anything that resembled a boat.
Nearly two years later working nights and weekends we launched her in PE Harbour christened "Yellowfin".
Outboards were terrible in those days so we installed a 140hp OMC z-drive outriggers, etc.
For the next decade we ran 50-80kms south of PE in search of yellowfin and caught hundreds, fished Bird Island which was alive with thousands of yellowtail, and many other previously unreachable destinations.
She was hard riding into the wind but never broached in a following sea and always got us to then distant fishing grounds and home safely with more fish than I would care to admit today - including getting caught 30km offshore in the worst gale off PE in recorded history.
It was a big boat in those days and a long days fishing for tuna running and trolling for 12hrs at sea cost us R5.00 each for petrol.
Those were the days.
