Amazing how much storage / fishing space you can fit on a small Mono if you are sensible with your ideas

U r right about those 40's...absoloutely perfect. Bought my 15'6 with 60,s and def a bit overpowered but very quick out the hole. Your console configuration looks great...plenty room aft. Great job.

Bennie....gamefishing, bottomfishing, spinning...Anything except Big Game. Ive never seen much need for a false transom on any boat smaller than 17ft.

Normally for batteries and live well. But also keeps water off the deck. Personal choices.

Bennie, wiring for batteries plumbed to battery boxes in bum box, and live well is below deck and grivity flooded with angled plugs. Like I said in a previous post....Old School build.

I like the layout VERY much

But seriously, how are you going to keep the deck dry with that short NE chop coming over the transom?

Have you thought of sinking the deck aft of the fuelbox a 100mm or so? This could help keeping the rest of the boat dry?

4 x 25L Fuel tanks are up front under the forward seat to try put a bit of weight into the bow, which she needs. 40/2cyl are light and the transom is actually quite high above the waterline. Nowhere for water to ingress if the odd cupful comes over the transom cause the fish hatch is up near the stern.

Not sure if youve fished much on boats with no false transom, but if your weight distribution is right on the boat, and you arent sinking the transom with a pair of 110kg 4 strokes, you hardly get a drop of water over the transom during a days fishing.

Yeah, Thanks. One of the few benefits of buying a new boat (being on control of the layout). Will be in touch with progress.

Interesting view of an Aces' hull whilst its on the hoist. Not an angle you get to see much once a boat is built.
