This is a latest addition to my boat yard. It started life as a AC 21'6 SDV hull (new from the mould) and had the gunnels raised and transom extended by +-5ft total length is +-27 to 28ft. The original owner had a builder from KZN do the work and the boat has sat for the last 2-3 years in his Factory never having been in the sea!! The boat has yet to be launched its waiting for me to decide what to do with it.

I know the motors are on the very small side but hey they came with the boat and only have 18hrs on them :)

The trailer is from my other AC 21'6SDV, I was able to move the frames around to enable me to get this boat loaded.

If anyone knows anything about this boat or who the builder was it would be great to learn a little more about it..

Thanks for the pics DBM

What do you thing the owner intended with the alterations?

She must be really heavy now...the standard 660DV hull was already 1500kgs!

You a besige bytjie! Would like to see what you are going to get up to next! :)

That boat is going to cavitate like hell. The motors look lined for that back extension but the is a massive step from the old section.

Not necessarily Bennie...water rises 1 inch for every foot if I remember right. That's why motors are mounted higher on outmount set-ups

Lotsa modern stepped boats around

Also I am sure the owner/builder did their homework

He also sold it without using it...

Only 1 way to find out I guess. I hope it works fine.

The step in the hull is only about 38mm, and then 5ft to the back from there. The Original owner has never had a boat in his life, and someone owned him some money so gave him a new hull from the mould in Durban (just the shell), the owner managed to get his loan back by employing the boat builder from the South Coast I think and getting the other guy to pay.. long story short the Boat Builder from SC had free reign to build a decent extended AC. Under deck is Foam Core skeleton with Bottles and foam. Extension at the back is the same. Raised Gunnel is Glass.

I towed the boat with my HJ60 LandCruiser and sat on the road easily at 100-110km/h.

Yes the motors are slightly on the small side, would probably do much better with at least 115's. However from what I know about the SDV hulls are that they get onto the plane allot quicker with Less HP. So for harbour exits im pretty sure these motors will be ok for a days fishing... not loading commercial weights and 6 crew up but me and 2-3 friends and our gear Im sure it will be fine.

Im busy installing new Stainless and going to re-spray the Gunnels and hatches as the finishing on these parts wasnt great.

Then ill have her in the water and can give a better report :)

Daai boot is so mooi ne, lat die trane spat van my wange af op die keyboard :)

Tell us more about the layout...what happened to the fishbox under the deck in the back, and is the fuel locker right in the back extra fuel or what?

I like all the teak on the boat

Useless information:that looks like opposite the court buildings in White River

PS:

You need a turnbuckle/chain up front between the boat and the trailer China!

:fbash

This should help

It has a turn buckle, but we were just shifting it around in the yard, not going anywhere.

2 bins, 1 live bait well and fuel storage
