Hi Almal,

Dink julle 2 x 70hp (2008) Suzuki 4 strokes sal te lig wees vir my boot ? Die ander opsie is 2 x 90 HP Mercury's (2006) of dalk weer 2 x 85 Yamaha's. My 85's (1984 Modelle)het so baie corrosion dat ek sal moet kyk om hulle te replace bw_l_)

Hello C

Ek dink die 70 hp fourstrokes sal leke werk as jy nie gaan surflunch nie maar ek verkeerd wees my Ace Cat 555 het 2x 85hp yamaha's en ek het geen probleem met krag nie maar sal baie graag fourstrokes wil opait of optimax maar dis my opienie almal se smaak verskil mos maar

Suzuki 40hp = 943cc engine Displacement

Yamaha 70hp = 966cc engine Displacement

Sal eerder gaan vir 2x 90's ( Suzuki or Honda)

@Fishfun or someone that can help??
What an awesome awesome boat, good one. I rode on a mate's a number of years ago and loved it.
I am presently looking at buying that exact same rig for myself, been looking long and hard, 2 questions, if you don't mind.....
Are the 60's good for that size hull, not too heavy?
Can you give me a history of that PARTICULAR hull as I know Acecraft closed doors 1994 but these hulls are newer, through to about 2003, if I am not mistaken, who were they then made by if Acecraft were closed etc etc.
Once again, lovely boat, can't wait to eventually find one in really good nick.
Many thanks.

Wow BFC, they look awesome, really impressive.
Thank you so much for the explanation, all makes sense now.
Would 2x60 yammies therefore be suitable for a 16ft hull?
I have seen a hull for sale, need to know what size motors to match with her if I get her. I launch through average size surf, Moz etc, sold the jet-ski and going boat route as son has taken it up as well.
Once again, thanx

On the 15,6 ft AceCraft I will put nothing else than 2x40hp 2 stroke motors. 150-175kg on the transom and this is more than enough.

2x60's is too heavy/and powerfull but then again in Natal if you cant bolt 2x85 yammies to somethings arse it aint no good

:SSS
