BFC,

I need to fit bow rails and rollbar on my boat where did you source yours from and what did it cost you?

Them Stones , we appointed a very capable Welder in Nov and will make them inhouse as the service /work we got locally did not make spec. - either takes too long , too expensive or issues.

Here is a ACE-"Bastardo" :

19ft Robcraft Hull, with a 18,6 Ft Deck Mould

Whoever built it did a hell of a good job.

Hi Gyus

I know this is a shot in the dark, but its worth a go.

My Dad owned a 18.6 Acecraft when I was a boy, and I started fishing on this from early age. I loved this boat, and was devastated when he sold it in +/-1999 or 2000.

I am now on a mission to track down this boat, and to get it back. The boat name is EXCELSIOR, and it was YELLOW AND BEIGE. It had 2 x 85 Yammies on the back, with an Eezee Loader Trailer. My Dad mostly fished from Shellyy Beach.

I think the guy that bought the boat took it to Mozambique, not sure.

Has anyone seen this boat somewhere? Any information would be appreciated.

Hallo Eran,

Your mission is is noble one

I dig nostalgia, especially when it comes to boats

I would suggest you start your own seperate thread and add some pics(if you have) of the boat

That way more members will see it

Good luck

Yea, boats are special as they carry with them so many memories.

If I cant find my Dad's old Ace-Craft, i will then buy another and try and restore that to same colours.

The boat I am looking for is an exact replica (colours etc) of the boat in this thread named 'Hello C', in fact I remember that boat from the Shelly Beach days back in the eighties.

Yea Thika, boats are very special as they carry with them unbelievable memories.

The boat I am looking for is an exact replica of 'Hello C' also shown in this thread few pages back, with the same colouration etc.

If I cant find my Dad's old boat, I will then look to buy something as close to that and restore that to its former glory.

Tammo,

This is not the first time you are talking about the 550 Ace Cat

I don't know this boat and not sure it was ever built?

Do you have pics?

If you go search "Ace Cat 555" on this site though, you will find a lot of information, experience and pics
