The first of my lures came out of the mould and needs some testing. I just had to lay paint down asap so this is the result. I will be testing till the end of the month before they go into full production. These may or may not be the final colours.

What about a white body with red head, like the Rapala colour? Everyone says that's a good combo?

I won't be doing a red head. I don't have a problem with red head lures but not for this lure. I want this lure to represent a squid as closely as possible.

These are not like Rapala lures. They are stick baits intended for casting. They weight 3 Oz unrigged. The lip does not make it dive. It creates water pressure which causes the lure to slowly move from side to side in a snaking action.

So far they have caught tuna, a lot of Dorado off Durban and I got a Black Marlin too.

They will be available soon!

Decided, what the hell, the more hooks the better. So I added the belly hook (ST66 3/0) it was designed to originally have. Weight rigged is 100grams.

I took 3 of them for a swim. (1 is in C.T. and 2 have gone to Moz.)
As you can see by the condition of the lures, all had strikes. Actually a few skippies (but couldn't be bothered to take all the pics) and we dropped 2 Dorado. First one to go away was the Purple / black.

I trolled them... We put it out first as the sun was coming up. I put the second lure out and while I was putting the third one out, it wend away. Massive explosion behind the boat then a second but unfortunately it cam unstuck and the fish threw it a mile high into the air. Was disappointed... but ecstatic to get the strike.
