Hi,
I saw a guy yesterday at low tide at Tergniet. He was casting a net right in front of him amound the rocks and caught some small silvery fish. He through a lot back and the ones he kept fitted nicely into his hand so the could not have been too big. I watched from a distance. I should just have gone up to him and asked. Any ideas what the could have been and what the look like up close. I am still practicing with my net and want to try it next week. Been here since last week Wednesday and my girlfriend caught a blacktail and thats it. Small stuff biting as thay are cleaning my hook but thats it.

Kegan,my best guess is that it could have been Mullet (haarders). This we use as live bait that keep small fish away and attract predators.

I usually catch a lot of strepies with my net in that area....very good bait for cob, given you use it fresh, not frozen.

Kegan that was probally stepies or some mullet all very good bait. Take a drive to gouritz mouth you can fish of the beach close to the mouth or you can go on to the rocks next to the road you fish close to your vechile just liik for some nice pea soup water you may just get lucky(not with your girlfriend)
