You will shake your head when you hear this one -

My mate has always wanted a Saltiga Lever drag and if he gets the reel he wants a new rod.

His criteria for the rod is that it must match the Saltiga.

I suggested the Oval special rugged in the saltiga blue or a failing that a technium, if he finds a technium he may change to a trini or a torium (shimano rod and reel)

He will fish in Sedgefield and surrounds every dec, mazeppa now and then, kzn same

Rather the Saltiga rod with the LD then that would be high end and pricey. (Alconite guides and really good craftmanship and serious Blank)

Technium with Trin A 2nd prize then (Price point, also Fuji but entry level and a great blank but not the Saltiga Blank and a really good reel)
