Light tackle fight of my life! Giant African Threadfin caught on lure in the Kwanza on one of my last fishing days. I had lost a bus a couple days before in the surf. This was my dream fish on artificial and my last chance to get one, super high pressure! Managed to land two, but this was my first and biggest landed. Also an honour to be fishing with Fedu and have him donate a pair of Costa's in the landing of this Threadfin. What a stunning fish in the flesh and then to see it go back makes it my flawless capture
its nearly offshore!! hehe

For me it's not any specific fish. There are moments that I've had with my friends and my family, especially my kids. So it is difficult. I went through some old photos and it brought back some incredible memories.
But I'm going to choose this one. The reason I chose this moment is because the Angler is Phyn. He is an old Seadog who has taught me so much. An old Cape boy who spent all his time chasing tuna and ex commercial from many years ago. A gentleman who has always been prepared to step aside for someone else to grab the rod. He is 60 years old and I got him his first Bill fish - This saily of around 28kg.
That smile says it all and I was proud to have given back to him after all I had taken from him in knowledge!
