Howzit guys

We are going to tago in 2 weeks time. I haven't fished for a while and is a bit rusty. Want to hear from you guys what bait is working there and at what distance. We are not taking any canoe or bait boat and want to go for quantity, want to be busy the whole time. I did search the forum for info, but most of the info is a long time ago. Is there anyone who's been to tago recently and willing to give me tips and advice

Thanks

If the tips and comments you saw were from this year or late last year, then I would still consider them relevant. As a rule of thumb, fish at the Vaal usually go for sweet flavours, garlic, dough or earthworms. I've had success on Banjo, Perdeby and garlic floaties, but dont forget the mealies as well. The Cats are keen on fish heads there, so throw one out and it might get picked up.

Some of them were in the last year so so but most of them was 2010 and 2011. Thank you for the tips and will keep the ones I have found in mind as well. Do you why the guys don't reply that much as in previous years?

Im not too sure Hennas, but if you notice, the freshwater forum section is generally not as busy as it used to be. Maybe its because not a lot of guys visit the site anymore.

That could be one of the reasons. It's actually a pity as I think a site like this is great to share knowledge etc. A lot of people is viewing the topics but are not replying. Do the freshwater guys still do reports regards to there fishing trips?
