Tackle ready! And Off we go!

Decided to put in a much anticipated session at Jackson dam.
Got to the dam around 10:45 and got the lines in at around 11:00.

SL member 'Dewalds' was at the dam to hand over my rod which I had left at the dam a few weeks back, Major thanks to this honest member!
Just as Dewald was about to leave I let out a scream, "Dewaaaaald!!" As my reel began to scream, it only screamed for around 3-4 seconds and then stopped, so I thought it was off! Then the line went tight again and I struck, the fish soon ran into my other rod and got the lines tangled up, thanks to dewald who managed to untangle the lines and I played the fish safely to the bank under the guidance of Dewald.

I did not have a net with me, So Dewald, geared up in his Church clothes had to help me land the fish onto the bank! Major thanks to him and Mana for you, Dewald!!!

We estimated the fish to be around 5KG. This Beaut was released safely and went back strong!

A good day indeed! :)

Nice fish man:SSS I use to go there often when I still lived in Alberton. First venue I caught carp using hair rigs. How are they biting these days?
