Hi all

A friend has given me this blank. Its brand new still in plastic. Its been lying in his garage for the past 10years un-used. I jst want to find out what blank it is and if its any good. The only info written on the blank is the above mentioned. Is it a T/flex blank? Can I build a grinder rod with it? And, what weights can it handle?

I'll appreciate any help on the subject

Regards
Ashley

Hi Ashley sure you can build a grinder rod with it would be about a 6 ounce 400 cm long.

My heart is eina just broke my stroke 5 last weekend.

It will be worth building it up.

Thanks guys for the response. So the T53 is a Blue Marlin blank? I know a lot of builders are using the 400/3 purglass blankks for grinder setups and its working well. T53 is T/ flex?

Sorry abt the rod boet. Its heart sore breaking a rod.

It's a 400cm blank, can add butting to take it up to 430cm (14')

T53 is 36 ton Carbon and a brand used only by Blue Marlin in our Market.

That is about a R2800 blank (once butting is added)

It is not a T-Flex, T-Flex is a mix of 36 and 24 ton carbon pre-pregs

Yes it can be used for a Grinder rod and will cast a 6oz with a flapped Mackie

Thanks Enigma

Yet again, Sealine has come to my rescue. The reason why I always turn to sealine is because the info received is from a broader spectrum. Certain rod builders tend to be brand and area specific. I'm sure with good reason ofcos, but having various inputs helps make things a lot more interesting.

Much RESPECT guys_seal1_
