I have a question regarding swimming diamonds for Zambies

Can I swim on 0.80 topshot or is it going to be too thick? I spoke to Franna here in PE and he said swim on 80lb straight I just think it's asking for a cut-off but any knowledge it welcome,I am going to have a 22m 1.5-2.5mm leaders on the end when swimming.

start with a mono section.
then over to braid when its running out on the rip.
sometimes everything can be coiled up close to shore which can be a expensive excersize.
mono also lies on top of the water.
actually nice to see it that way.
you can still use high visibility colors
