Surf drop shot

Morning ladies/gents

I am heading down to Sodwana for a week and then on to shelley beach for another week pretty soon and need some advice. I am very keen to give drop a try while im there.

I tried the google thing but i dont get too far, nothing conclusive. What would the best rod be for me to get? And what lures work best?

I am really keen to catch a couple of decent ones.

I would suggest you look at the daiwa mega force rods they are not to pricy (R400-500) but you have to change the eyes for saltwater but if you want a very good rod that is long lasting get the daiwa Laguna (R500-700) and it was designed for saltwater so you don't need to change anything and go for the 10' it is perfect for spinning and it also depends on what reel you using and for lures get McCarthy drop shots ( paddle tailes and jerk minnows and bullhead minnows and finnese minnows) and for colors get hot orange and mullet color for sodwana and the light green with white paddeltail, and size depends on what you are targeting but normaly between 3-5 inch is good
