SUP Stand Up Paddle Board Fishing

Sea is flat and fish are jumping out of the water behind a non existent backline when i look with the binocs...hmm if no lockdown and a motor on the back these things would be bloody handy! I wouldn't even need a canoe though I would wade to cast to the fish I can see from here, busting under sterrentjies..looks like skippies to me! Why not go full monty, an e-bike with trailer hitch and beach wheels for the back of the paddleboard and on a flat day you could scoot anywhere and launch!

I’d love it if Stealth would build a proper fishing SUP, something in line with the Botè Rackam or dragonfly SUP. Something that paddles a bit faster with a detachable fin so that it tracks better in wind and swell. Maybe a bit higher V hull so that the nose doesn’t dive in swell and reduce deck slap. I’d take that out to sea, near shore.

I’ve paddle this SUP in boat wakes, they wake board and ski on the lake where I fish and haven’t had any issues when standing up.
What is quite interesting is that I feel a lot better after a long fishing session than the guys in kayak because I can move around whilst they remain in a seated position.
