Brendon when i got home last night i was practicing, the knots. The spider is fine, bud im struggling with joining the main line to the leader with th figure of 8. Sometimes i get it right and sometimes not

Howzy Fred

The knots def have an influence on my casting.  There's kick on the cast when the knot runs thru the eyes.  It takes getting used to. 

I have to get my eyes changed to accomodate the braid line, apparently it cuts into the standard eyes.  The top eye needs to be bigger tho. 

I must try the spider knot and see how much different it is to the Bimini twist.

its the diameter of the line that also influences the size of your not.

to fish for the big fish that we fish for, we say use a t least a 1mm leader. change the first 4 eyes on yoru rod Tailfin,anf then u can pitch with a 1mm leader no problem
