Struisbaai in winter can be a horrible place, but despite the weather and cold water there are still fish around.
The last week we had a lot of fun catching Skipjack on lures trolling behind the boats, and also spinning for them where the birds are working the water. I landed 4 one day and one of the crew had 13 on board in under three hours.
Silvers are all around, specially around the corner of the Agulhas lighthouse, and the odd sharks still prey in the shallower waters.
The next week the weather is going to be all important as the locals predict warmer water afetr the NW/NE and we will keep on searching for the elusive shoals of Kob.
