Hi guys. We r going to Struis the weekend of the 4th of October for a competition and i would like to know how the fishing is after the Big Storm. What's biting this time of the year. Any suggestions on what kind of bait, were to look, what time, eg.pushing tides, winds etc for edibles would would be welcome.

The water is still cold and a very ugly dishwater color at most places, but all is not gloom.
Musselcrackers are coming out at various spots in the gullies. My wife caught one yesterday (her first). At Agulhas at the wreck Galjoen and crackers were landed. There are still Belman around, and at Die Mond the guys are getting shoal Kob and a few grunters.
We will also be fishing the 4th, give us a pm and lets chat

This is really a prime time of the year for big white steenbras especially early morning. I see you will have an early morning (before sunrise) hightide, so I would fish Struisbaai-Plaat from before sunrise with the outgoing tide.
