Ashton Rock and Surf fishing club invites you to their annual angling competition which is part of the Geelstertfees programme in Struisbaai on 28 February 2009.
The 5 species that will be targeted this year will be Kabeljou, Steenbras, Belman, Blacktail and Musselcracker. Galjoen had to be excluded because of the date of the Geelstertfees falling within the close season.
The weekend Geelstertfees offers fun for the whole family. For Saturday the family has the opportunity to enter a rock and surf competition for fun, family building and win some great prices. This year kids under 13 and lady anglers can enter at a special prize making it affordable for a family to enter.
We also would like to challenge other clubs fishing for edibles to enter the team competition and test their skills against Ashton Angling club who has won the team competition and most of the specie prizes for the last two years.
This year we will be handing out more than R 12 000 worth of cash prizes, gifts and medals.
The cost to enter the competition is as follows:
To enter please complete the attached form provided and make an internet payment before Sunday, 2009/02/22. Late entries will be accepted at the Geelstert show grounds in the Ashton Angling club tent on Friday, 2009/02/27 between 17H00 and 20H00.
I hope to see you at the 2009 Struisbaai “5 Spesieâ€.
