Struis/Arniston 2-4 Jan

Hi All

All the best for 2009 and lets keep SL stronger than ever

Am heading down to Struis/Arniston on Fri, and am keen for kob, steenies and cracker.  Wind and conditions seem "ok-ish" and I have a fair mix of baits and know the spots around there so-so, so am looking for some tips/predictions from the locals in the area.

Ideas???

This time of the year I got my Best Steenbrass there on Bloodworm. If you feeling fit take a nice long walk from Galjoen gat  towards Oeste banke Struisbaai direction. The long walk can be worth the effort.  On low tide you can wade and get to nice holes in the back. I normally walk make a quick cast if nothing happens move further and further till a strike. You fish the same method on your way back and in the end the "long walk" is not so bad at all. This is no doubt my favourite fishing spot.
