A Bat on a Crank bait whilst doing some night fishing and a Goldfish... needless to the gold fish went to the koi pond

true story- Peaconwood feb 2011,I was fishing somewhere near the 7th with a caramel vodka flavoured Slider...didnt have to wait long for the take...we will leave it at that

I personally hooked and landed a cormorant whilst :fishn at the Barrage ... best fight ever whilst gooing pap. The cormorant was safely released a little stirred and shaken.

 

Cousin of mine caught a heavy slimy smelly turtle at the Vaal. Turtle was safely released.

 

Same cousin and I caught 1 nice size grass carp also at the Vaal ... it had picked up both our baits with both hooks set in its mouth. Strange but true.

As a youngster I caught a condom out the harbour while fishing my family...Pretty awkward at the time, and pretty sif to get off the hook..yes it was used!!!

Black Label six-pack wrapper (slightly melted by fire)...gave me a nice fight. 2lt coke bottle with anchor line (someones marker) and a rubber "plakkie". Also snagged 'n kiewiet...no harm done and safetly released.

Ek het 'n klip gevang by homestead. Ek het probeer bass vang en terwyl ek terug katrol het ek gevoel hier is 'n swaar ding op. Gaan toe met die kanoe uit en dit voel asof ek vasgehak het maar tog beweeg ek. Gedog dit was 'n lui baber.
