Is there such a big diffs between the Deep V and the Cat Hull

In my Experience definatly, my previous Acecraft was a real Big weather boat and could maintain a constant speed in a heavy on coming sea, as it cuts a course through a swell, as well as in big surf. However given the choice I would stick to my new cat,it takes a bit of getting used too as you cant drive them the same way, but I have put This Yeld into some serious surf and weather and with a bit of adjustment on my style had much the same results, and you cannot compare a cat to a mono in a following sea, the mono will broach, slide and yaw at some stage, but the cat is just a case of trim up and send it.That said, I have skipped a few big-sportsfishers and I believe anything over 30ft has to be a mono, it just works! Hope that helps a bit, but I am sure there are lots of other guys here that can ofer some thoughts...

after chatting to greg a few times he is bound by the basic law of fishing,, enthusiasm,,, wether it is for him or a customer, and i would if i had the bucks and the time , go charter his boat in the drop of a heart beat,,

thanks gents, she was worth the wait. Bennie its very similar a mate of mine actually done the drawings and it took a while to get it good enough to copy, but check out www.boldwater.com they have some great stuff, a bit pricey being in the US but the guy who did mine can use any of the ideas you see there and make it proudly South african!!
