I have a weeks holiday :::S from the 18th June at Qwantani. I have never been there before and therefore have no clue what to expect fishing wise. My local tackle shop owners advice was that it will be too cold for fishing :ifishin and that I should just take a lot of Old Brown Sherry. ::slo. Any advice will be welcome tx.

was there in Jan.. fishing was tough.. very very DEEP.. so stay close.. and yes .. it was pis cold.. if you going for yellows in june.. sorry to say mate.. they are only active Oct to Feb... carp,,, i have not caught one there but i was there on a bad weekend in Jan .. the guide said it was one of the worst in Jan he ever experienced.. All can think is to ensure you Lure fish to one spot and focus on that one spot the whole time.. ..its tough .. but
IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE ON EARTH .. water is crystal clear.. and mountains are AWESOME .. enjoy !!!!

Hi, fished the dan ever since the dam was open to fishing, things were so good that trout were caught on brown bread and honey! Good times! With regards to fishing this part of the year my advice wil be to fish conventional, mielie bonb and whole kernal mielies, i have taken many carp in deep winter, patience is the key, please pm me if u need more info!
