This is more for the guys like me that dont have spanners for fingers and struggle to get tight neat coils.I have tried it with the nail in a board thing but cant get the coils tight so this is how I do my traces.The only draw back is u need two clamps.
Firstly make the figure of eight but dont pull it completly tight(It is recommended to snell circles to increase hookup rates).Move it down to the hook.
Then clamp the hook in one clamp and the steel trace in another clamp.Pull knot tight and start twisting the tag end around the main trace.
Once u have made enough turns melt the coating to set the coils in place and trim the tag end of.
Then I pack mine neatly away in zip bags.
