Was in Mapelane 2 weeks ago which is just the other side of the esuary. if the mouth still hasnt broken through you will find the water very clean so i would sugest fishing early morning late afternoon and at the Highs. there are a lot of small flat fish and some big Sandsharks. for the flat fish chokka and sard works well on the sandbanks. at high tide in the deeper water put out a slide with a whole Mackie and 2 sards buttiflied and rapped around the mackie flesh side out. cant get a better bait. if the water is a little bit dirty you will be able to get some raggies then any slide bait will work

Dont think he should be sliding baits if he has no experience...keep it simple, fish in the estuary for grunter and try the surf for few shad and other eds

hi msas
i think your trips success will be determined by u visiting skrops at leeukop....very knowlagable guy....even if u a newbie....he will get u sliding a bait out as well at st lucia. dont be scared bhai...whats the worse that cud happen??

but other than that......u can have some fun in the estuaries with grunter...salmon...and a whole lot of other species. go as light as possible and the good old sadine fillet will hook u into most fish.

Hi Guys

I just want to sat thank you to Skrops and the other guys I met on Saturday at Leeukop. I can't remember all tha names but Homie, Mike P, Andirs H and a few aothers.

Skrops showed me the basics  techniques on how to cast with my new Daiwa SL30 and 12 foot Exage, and after a few tries I got around 90m. I really appreciate the assistance.

Thank to Garrick for meeting me at Mias and showing me the ideal rod, reel etc.....:fishn
