Although the shad season is closing in 2 days the shad is still around small but lots take a while to get a size.

Garrick still caught on a daily basis average 6 / 7 kg up to around 14 kg.

Some nice size Kingfish been coming out (17 kg & 25 kg) in the last two weeks as well as the bigger kob still few and far apart.

Viewpoint & Jabula beach has produced one or two Grunter on white prawn.

With the Umfolozi close (water into the Estuary filling that up) fishing is done all the way to Mapelane beach.

Thanx for this report SH sounds like you had some awesome fishing.

I will be in St Lucia 8th October, have not been very lucky here in the past, maybe you have a few pointers as to which species to target and in what spots as for bait I have heard that chokka and pink prawn is quite deadly here any truth to that what would you suggest.

guess I will go harass Deon at Raggies to trade some secrets haha!!
