SSEC:WC -- 23 July 2011comp - Cape Point

OK Ladies en Gents, na vele besprekings en wroegings is daar besluit dat ons Julie comp op 23 Julie 2011 by Kaappunt sal plaasvind.

Ons het, na heelwat vertoee daarvoor, besluit dat dit vir die Klub beter sal wees indien ons nie op dieselfde dag as die RASSPL ons komp hou nie. Die aanvanklike aanduiding was dat die RASSPL op 16 Julie sal plaasvind. Vandaar die besluit op 23 Julie 2011.

Sien asb ook my post op die Announcements thread asook op die oop Saltwater forum m.b.t. die Klub se beoogde AGM op Dinsdag, 19 Julie 2011.

Guys, its very important to have as many as possible members attending the AGM. Even if you are not planning on participating at the 23 July 2011 competition.

This is the chance where you can make yourself heard and suggest changes to the Club's activities and way of doing things.

We hope to see you all there.

Kindly note that in terms of the conditions of the Club's Constitution, any proposed amendments to the Constitution should be submitted in writing to the Secretary (that's me) before the meeting.

Miskien moet ons weer probeer om die manne vooraf vir 'n ou hengel uitstappie bymekaar te kry. Die trippie Zeekoevlei het nieteenstaand groot vooraf hype bietjie flou ge-eindig. Wat van 'n outing na Macs of iets. Lekker hengel sonder kompetisie die oggend en dan lekker kuier agterna???? Daar is mos nie meer rugby wat die manne se aandag kan trek nie....

Hi all SSEC:WC members

As you are aware, we had our Annual General Meeting last night (Tuesday, 19 July 2011) at the Hunt & Polo Club, Durbanville Race Course. The meeting doubled as AGM and preparatory meeting for the monthly Club Competition this Saturday, 23 July 2011 at Cape Point Reserve. As is the norm I will post the details of the logistical arrangements for the Club comp. immediately. The minutes of the AGM part of the meeting will follow later.

Club Comp. 23 July 2011, Cape Point Reserve:

1.             Fishing area: Cape Point Reserve
2.             Competition Secretary: Jo Jo (Frederick Isaacs) Cell no: 072 274 9329
3.             Starting time and Venue: Cape Point Reserve entrance gate – 07:00 to 07:30
4.             Weigh-in and Venue: Buffelsbaai – 15:00 sharp
5.             Rules: All existing competition rules apply. Check Constitution and Rules elsewhere on this thread for details.

NOTE: Members who do not make the starting time (07:00 - 07:30) will have grace until 08:30 to collect their Score Cards from the Competition Secretary, wherever he might be. Late-comers can contact him on his Cell (072 274 9329) to establish his whereabouts and to collect their Score Cards BEFORE 08:30 from him. Please note that he WILL NOT issue Score cards to members who do not meet the final cut-off time of 08:30. Any members who do not meet this grace period shall be disqualified from the competition. They may, however, participate in the day’s fishing on a non-competitive basis and attend the weigh-in/ social event, thus earning 15 points for attending the Social event.

5.      After party: Braai at Buffelsbaai in the Reserve where the score cards are to be handed in. Check the map that you will receive at the entrance gate for the whereabouts of this spot.
6.      As per a decision taken during the AGM, all participants on the day will be randomly divided in groups with a view to promote esprit de corps amongst members as well as to allow less experienced anglers and newcomers to learn from the more experienced anglers. This will take place immediately before the competition starts.
