Spod rod advice

Hi all

help asb.

Im looking for a spod rod(or any other 2 piece rod that will do the trick), it's a struggle to find rods in SA.

I will pair it with an alivio reel (the reel i already have)

And I will use these spombs I also already have

Now I only need the rod - I have no idea what to look for or even where to look for.

and was thinking to use 20lbs 0.19 braid

and a leader of 0.62mm 120lbs to take to power of the cast

Can the guys using a spod please assist, will the line,reel and spombs mentioned be able to do 100m and what rod should i look to use ?

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated as i'm in the dark with this currently

I arranged with him to hold it for me until we can meet next week.

He send me a list with all the tackle he is selling.

everything is proper tackle, fox,nash,chub,Gardner...

I'm taking 3 fox rods of him as well.

See if you can find a Tribal LC or Suppressa 13' 3.75lbs and you'll cast it 160m or get a Technium 13' use the heavy tip and cast the 150gr+ spod to 140m

Thank you Enigma.

The technium is widely available and affordable, I will keep this in mind if the sonik spod rod is not satisfactory.
