Spinning for shad

Was down in the margate area today and decided to change it up a bit using a mepps black fury. Well guys- 28 shad later im sold. Changed the trebble to a 2/0 diachi, as I was releasing the fish. Also rigged a conical lead above the spinner to get better distance. But wow, all I can say was it was absolute chaos, throw for throw - VAS- give it a try.

My "artificial's bag" cosists of mostly bass lures and then the few sea lures (plugs and spoons)Use the same lures for bass/kurper and leeries/elf/cob. Even caught some big Smallies on white plugs.

As Pslatarix said, you dont always get the distance, so you just add some weight. I had a big mepps(2oz) that worked like a charm, which I lost at blakes but could not find the same one again.

Meps = gold for bass especial the black Furry man I had a lot of them either orange or yellow dots onBlack the blade copper or bonze

do's they work Lahney ?

 I saw a few vids About em , as We all Know Though - some or Most Lures are Designed to hook The angler More than it hooks The fish !! lol .

I Should've tried a spinner this weekend While at Ystervarkfontein .

Most Def the Meps Black Furry have been around for ages My Grandad fished with them when he fished fresh water nationals and that was years ago.

Them are some good Bass/kurper/yellow/barbel lures and now shad
