Spearing club PE

Over the past few years I've seen, when the vis is decent, quite a few spearos in and around town. And was wondering if anyone wanted to get together on a regular-ish basis.

I've got fairly limited exposure to new dive spots and tend to stick to the same familiar spots, with varied results. I also know of a few guys in town who can teach us a thing or two.

I'm a member at Noordhoek, but we can also meet at the Hobie club very easily.

What ya think?

I think its a good idea but what would make this club different or any better than say the Dolphin Underwater club?

I've not heard of them, I shall investigaste.

But thats the million dollar question I guess, what do you want from a club?

I surf and windsurf too, and have been a member of the Hobie club, and am a current member of Noordhoek SBC. My brother was also  a member of a fishing club ( in the days of beach buggy's)

For the most part, the venue/club has only ever been a source of cooldrinks for after action refreshment. But a structured evening once or twice a month, depending on availability of mentors/sharers, can be unvalueable!! Especially for me!! I need dive buddies and new spots to explore.

Also the fishing club gave presentations on bait prep, rigging, technique all sorts.
Some of the the experienced guys have got loads of knowledge, if they prepared to share it! Over a rum and coke of course!!

Think its a great idea! Would be nice to meet up with the spearos in PE and share info and learn from each other.
