I know Nationals is the focs for 2012 but are you guys going to "take over" the Tony Dicks Memorial Open?

Hey Corry, I will chat to the guys about that. I think it would be best as its a very long standing comp.

I will keep you guys posted!

If the weather forecast stays as it is we will be diving the comp this weekend 10 September.

If you are interested, get your entry forms in as soon as possible.

Hi Guys! Whats happening with regards to the compo? Did it take place last weekend or what?

Hey Awesome, na we had to postpone again, the water was a lighter shade of brown after the swell that came in on Friday last week.

The sad thing is it seems this weekend we are in for the same problem. Just cant wait for the summer months, I am tired of all these fronts screwing up the water!

PM me your email address and I will add you to our database so we can send you mails about the happenings at the club.

Hey Guys. The weather is finally playing the game and it looks good for Saturday.

We have therefore decided to call on the Gully Challenge 2011. It will start at Noordhoek Skiboat Club at 6:15am with the safety briefing/skippers meeting being held at 6:30am sharp.

We will be accepting entries at the safety briefing. Please remember that this forms one of the trials for Nationals 2012 that is to be held in PE next year April.

PM me if you need any further details.

Hi Gromit!

Did the compo take place on Saturday as planned, and if so, how did it go?

Yip the comp happened. The water was crystal clear with 20m viz in places. The water temp was also a decent 18deg.

We had some nice fish at weigh-in, but not as much as expected with allot of the guys blanking. The weigher of the day was a 7.75kg Musslecracker.

I will post some pics a bit later.

Charl, you biscuit!

For those that don't know, Charl won Nationals 1993 at Stillbaai and represented SA.

EP guys will also do well to remember Marc White who lives in St Francis and is a member of Gully Jumpers (I'm sure he said something to that effect) is a candidate for the A team. Marc would have represented SA at Worlds in 2006 but some bungling by the then SAFA com meant the team didn't qualify.

Marc is a commercial diver and works offshore quite a bit. he shot a new SA record Carpenter (new species). The great Tommy Botha tried to hunt these fish so makes Marc's catch even more special.
