@willem, sadly there seems to be virtually no restrictions whatsoever on recreational angling in Oman. It was a bit of culture shock for me when I first saw how literally everything the locals land gets slaughtered.

Yup sadly there's Zero management in most areas luckily Oman has a massive coastline and a very small population so there are plenty of areas to head off to for peace and quite.

Nice trip when shad is this big and giving the fight we're looking after!. just today afternoon ì was at hasik's head if u know it I've got some big shad reeled easily with my new sustain 10000 fg and aerocast 3m xh .

We kept a few to eat that where damaged by the lures the biggest weighed one was 8.5 kilos if I remember right but there where a couple of donkeys released that would have gone higher.

mase meilie thats not a shad shad are the little razor blades the durban boys catch they arnt elf either they to big to be elf they are 12s for shore amazing stuff well done
