no sense in this casting as it def make a diff with weight / leaders / bait on the hook sorry if i sound sour or misrable but a fact is a fact

Alfred his point is valid for when casting of the small pebble rock sections but is invalid when casting of the beach.
The same cast but just Aerialised is the cast 90% of us use in South Africa for fishing. Not quite the 270degree rotation shown in the demo but more a 200-23- degree.
We swing back as in the very first demo and instead of laying the weight out on the ground let it pull out full length and as you feel the lead begin loading on the tip swing into it and complete the cast as John Demonstrate.
This way we do the South African cast without placing the weight or rig on the ground.
One small difference and yet the same and this is what we refer to as the SA cast.
All of our over 200m casters in casting Tournament use pendulum or X cast actions for casting but they are maybe 20 participants in total.

As I mentioned many anglers will wade to at least knee and waist deep and often they will wade through a neck deep trough to cast in waist deep water off of a Sandbank or reef out in the water.
Using the SA cast with a drop of 1.8-2.5m is completely possible in waist deep water.
Then fishing from the rocks and or beach we clip our bait's, especially bulky baits like a half a sardine with squid so that the set-up is more aerodynamic and will fly better.

Hi, it is precisely that I intend to fish there for 3 months that I have done research and deliberately stand knee depth to cast a 14ft r0d. The problem I faced was clip opening due to slack line in the swing (due to poor footing) and unable to take a step in the water to powercast (due to the vicosity of moving lower body in water).

We employ this cast off of Rocks and waste deep in the water.
As you have seen in water it is almost impossible to step into the cast and on uneven ground, ie rocks it is absolutely impossible.
To overcome this we coil up and make use of a 180 degree rotation thereby alleviating the need to step into the cast.
The weight/baited rif is however swung out at 60-90 degrees from the tip of the rod, as the rig pulls into the tip you begin the rotation.
The coiled body drives into the cast, Thigh and butt muscles, into core muscles followed by shoulder then only the arms to give direction and the final pus and pull into the release. This way with your Abu and 12lbs you will put that rig over 150m from where you are standing in the water.
