Good day guys.

Hope you are well.

We are having our South African Carp Championships at Bloemhof dam in April this year (FIPS), I will be representing Gauteng in the SA championships.

But we are looking at companies / individuals who would like to sponsor the Gauteng teams.

Gauteng entered two teams in this year’s Championship and the costs per team are around R9000.00, we know in today’s world asking for a cash sponsorship is difficult but we, who is representing Gauteng in the Championships will be extremely grateful for any sponsor whatsoever, from cash or even some coated leads, hooklink material, mainline , and so forth, even sunblock or anything.

Would you or your company be interested in something like this to sponsor the Gauteng teams in this year’s South African Championships?

It will be good advertising as well, as most of the big angling magazines will cover the event and the prize giving.

Our teams consist of (per team)

·         1x Manager

·         1x Coach

·         6x Anglers

·         2x reserves

Please find attached the document stating the request.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

regards

Hi Jacques, congrats and good luck

I know the costs and myself attended 7 Championships, 3 World Championships and a match against England Carp team.

Unfortunately the fishing industry itself is burdened and spread way to far to have the resources to sponsor.

The fact is your biggest expense in the trip will be Transport and Fuel so look specifically at the suppliers of these as a tip.

I would also recommend you as team approach manufacturers of Baits and feeds for at least a team purchase of product at Wholesale prices to keep costs down.

Tight lines and best of luck.

Hi Enigma,

Thanks a lot, yes it is expencive, but its a small price to pay to be directly involved in Gods beutiful creation..

Luckely i do have a feul sponsor already, so for me and my peg mate, we are sorted with that, but the feed is for us the most expencive expence, we need a total of 1.2 tons of feed between the two Gauteng teams, it sounds crazy to feed 1.2 tons of feed in 72 hrs, but that is the only way to get the bigger carp on your feeding spot, and to keep them there.

I have contacted some of the dry feed companies but with no sucess, even asked for a discounted price when they didnt want to go the sponsor route, but unfortunately they declined.

Thanks again for the good wishes. We hope to bring back 2 gold medals.

God bless.

Before the feed restrictions we used to use 400-800kg per peg with 180kg of boilies

Contact Robert from Super MG if they can't help phone Marius Rusch at XSA Angling. Both I know supply at good prices.

You alternative and the best OPTION in any case is to prepare and make your own feed, feed balls and boilies. One thing to remember is that in almost all the cases the feed manufacturers are either themselves your direct competitors or some of their sponsored anglers are competing against you so you wouldn't be getting the same quality as they are getting

Always best to make your own.
