I have posted a lot of pics of the fish I catch here on the rig,were I work and have thought that today I would do something different,instead of showing you what we catch each time I would like to show you the fish we do not catch that make there home in the legs of the rig.

If you know the names of these fish let us know its always good to identify the different specie's....

No 2 Trigger Fish
No 3 Sergeant Majors???
No 4 Amberjack
No 1,5 and 6 is the same species. Not sure. Looks like the Rock Cod family.

Agreed b8fish..........the striped ones are sergant majors.

I think the rockcod looking thing is a coral trout!! Taking a flyer!

1, 5 and 6 are defintely the same species, with colur differnces perhaps being male and fe3male...defintely of the Rock Cod/Grouper family, and looking at the smaller size ( I'm guessing they about 30cm??) they look like Rock Hinds...

2 - Defintely a trigger, the colour of which I have never seen before but it looks like an Ocean Trigger, which are the deep water species most commonly seen offshore, but they are usually a dull grey... by the way, contrary to what they look like, they are bloody good eating... Tough as hell to clean, but worth it... lots of meet in the head, so make sure you cook up the head too! Its a very fine white flesh, delicious!

3 - Although a member of the Amberjack and Yellowtail ( and Samsonfish ), I think the fish in this shot is an Almaco Jack... Basically its a very close relative of the Amberjack, but with a slightly shorter and broader body, as well as heavier fin structure...

4 - Sergeant Majors for sure!

Now you see this is what I like about the SEALINE family in here...if you dont know a species just ask the they will get you all the answers you need...I,ll see if I can dig up some more pics to get some info on...THANKS AGAIN GUYS...

Good stuff Wayne!

New pic 1 is I think a Elephant  Shark...., A juvenile one... or something similar... At first I thought it was a Goblin Shark, but after some research, its defintely not...

Pic 3 is a Warsaw Grouper I believe...the giveaway on which species of grouper being the really prominant 2nd dorsal spine. These puppies get BIIIIIG!! 500 pounds plus!!!

As to what No. 2 is.... I have no frickin clue!!:)
