So you guys might wonder why i said that...well ive learned two very important and eina lessons today...Dont fish for bass with 10pound line and dont fish with blunt hooks...
We shouldv gone to boskop today but the guys wanted to fish the vaal, cos the fishing is hot now.
So we started at 06:30 and at 7:30, we had a full bag of 1.3kg's fish and bigger
I fished with 10 pound fluoro with my finesse fishing, and had an awsome time...but lost allot of fish, first of all, some of the big ones broke the line and then i started doing a sweep hook set but just couldnt get it in hard enough, why??Cos my hooks wasnt sharp enough...
Then i got stuck and needed to get my lure out, i always take my rod up to my lure and then pull it out...well this time it was a big mistake...i was stuck in mesh...and broke my tip off...of my rod...i was so mad...but luckilly my buddy Schalk had an extra rod for me...
We were klapping the fish, at the end we caught about 25 too 30 fish together...most of them over a kilo!!
This was just a social comp....if you understand and the rule was 1 Biggest fish...
But if it was a 5 fish comp, all of the teams wouldv had more than a 7kg bag!!THAT IS FLIPPEN GOOD IN THE VAAL!!!
Me and Schalk had yet another awsome day on the water!!!THANKS BUD!!
There wasnt allot of huge fish coming out like a week or two ago, when guys pulled out 3kilo fish, but there was allot of fish today!!
Lourens A.K.A. CULPRIT and Nicholas Dubber (2007 BASS AFRICA CLASSIC VAAL WINNER) took the first prize today with a 2.3kg fish...
Our biggest was a 1.98kg
All the guys did very well at the end of the day and this must have been one of the best days ive had on the vaal...But also one of the worst!!hehehe
