Thanks Thika.
So by the end of the day, 9 September we sat at 3 bass each for the season "father and son" so it was clear, the competition was on, who will catch the most and the biggest?
as work is slow and dad has some time to burn, with the laaitjie, we again set out this afternoon to catch some bass.
today we took platannas with!
we use the platannas to sight cast to bass lying in ambush.
it really fun, but gets boring very quickly!!!
here one can still see the plattie.
stalking the bass who is lying in ambush, one would cast the plattie close to the bass.
by letting the bass move naturally, the bass sees it and immediately reacts and swallows the plattie!!!
we found that we would not have a instant hook up at times and the bass would regurgitate the plattie.
we would just leave the plattie there and the bass would turn around and nail the plattie again.
so it seems like we have more then one chance to set the hook.
it is also interesting to see how aggressive the bass are when feeding natural baits.
