So I caught this fish in Scottburgh a while back and only figured out what it was this year. I did a lot of research and found out it was a topsail drummer or blue seachub. What I'd like to know is if anyone else has ever caught one in South Africa and anything else you might know about this fish.
It was caught at high tide on pink prawn amongst the rocks.

Grey chub,not often caught by fishermen but plentiful along our coast.I got a friend that calls them bum fish cause they taste so terrible....I won't go into anymore details than that.

nice grey chub / bumfish m8.. they are normally found posing in the hands of someone with marine substrate in the background. :wfish

Thanks guys. I didn't chow it so i didn't have to experience the bumfish part!::S while I'm here, can anyone tell me what this is?

It's a Cigar Wrasse found in just about all Tropical and Sub-Tropical waters around the world
